A community effort helped Pat and Meg Whalen to create their TV series Deep Southwest and it happened again when creating their new album, so they figure it’s time to have a party.

A local band that made a name for itself playing country music from the back of a pickup truck is heading to the small screen.

Pat and Megan Whalen, the Chatham-Kent duo behind Deep Southwest, have inked a deal with Bell to launch Due Southwest, a streaming show on Bell Fibe TV1.

Original songs combined with the vibe of Chatham people and places hopefully will launch a locally filmed and produced comedy television series into the big time.

Pat and Megan Whalen have been working with talented local film industry friends to create a comedy TV series and they're rolling out the red carpet to share it with the community.
