Deep Southwest or DeepSW is a husband and wife duo who play country music off the back of a truck.
With a look that is reminiscent of the Grand Ole Opry, Deep SW gets help from local musicians to create a full concert sound of the back of a chevy.
With the help of Nashville producer Jimmy Thow of Anthem Entertainment Group,
DSW releases their first single Glasses of Whiskey.

In the depth of COVID isolation, husband and wife, Megan and Pat Whalen recorded a song in a parking garage. They were looking for a way to stop themselves from going crazy. It kind of worked.

By the power of modern technology, Deep Southwest recorded all vocal tracks in a studio right at home and sent them to producer Jimmy Thow.

Residing in Nashville the singer/ songwriter/ producer is one half of the two-time CCMA nominated duo Sons of Daughters.
Thow has collaborated on four top 10 hits as a songwriter, one of which reached No. 2 on the Canadian Billboard Country Chart, “Good Jeans” by Tebey.

Struggling to find the right words to express his struggles with alcohol. Pat chose to write about the effects of alcoholism through the eyes of his wife.
The song depicts her heart ache and patience as she stands helpless in the face of his addiction, all with an upbeat catchy melody.
